Value Proposition Design

To run any successful business you need a clearly defined VALUE PROPOSITION that explains how your product/service solves your customers’ problem, need or improves their situation. A Value Proposition allows you to define who your customers are and to offer them what they really want. It also helps to secure grant aid or private investment.

In this 1-day workshop we will scope out your Value Proposition to help you to run an efficient and profitable, creative business.

Following a creative profession means spending a lot of time thinking from the perspective of “I” – what is my topic or my specific style, what do I want to stand for etc. However, without an engaged audience and buying customers the necessary revenue cannot be generated.

This is the moment when “they” perspective needs to be included into our thinking and planning. It does not mean changing the way we work, it means being able to clearly articulate why our work meets our customers’ needs.

We help you to work out a clear Value Proposition, to understand “they” perspective. We will lead the whole process and provide you with the tools and feedback you need. You will get a chance to apply the newest entrepreneurial techniques (i.e. Creative Business Model Canvas), and to discuss your ideas and challenges with us and a small group of other photographers developing their own endeavours and who are always happy to share their experiences.

Where appropriate we will look at your Value Propositions not only from a business but also from the social and cultural perspective.

Monika’s mentoring and coaching expertise includes Start-up support,  Business Strategy, Value Proporsition and USP, Stakeholders Relationships, Fundraising, EU Funding – grant writing and grant applications’ review, Audience  & Customers’ base development, Market reaseach.

Ian Oliver

Head of Creative Entrepreneurship, Creative and Artistic Entrepreneurs Academy

Ian has over 15 years’ senior management and entrepreneurial experience in the Arts, creative and technology Sectors and 4 years’ experience working with Local Government, Local Enterprise Offices, Local Arts Offices, Arts Organisations and Venues, Universities, Businesses and Community Groups throughout Ireland, auditing and engaging the artistic and creative community within specific geographic regions.

Currently Ian is working on advising and designing sustainable projects that utilise art and creativity as the main driver to effect sustainable economic and social change.  He also teaches and mentors artistic and creative entrepreneurship training to adult learners and undergraduate students.
