We are lacking the necessary survival skills in the cultural and creative sector – a personal experience

We live in an era of radical new economic demands and environmental changes.   These demands require new ways of thinking, as such cultural and creative organisations have to adjust and adapt to in order to survive.

Complete changes in patterns of community needs, audience requirements, generational and demographic changes, new forms of resource development and advancements in technology have shown that the old ways of doing things to promote organisational stability now need to be balanced by equally strong new ways of adaptability.  If cultural and creative organisations are to survive they need to proactively seize opportunities for change instead of merely reacting, they need to adapt, and adapt quickly. But in order to identify opportunities they need to know what constitutes an opportunity, and critically, how you can plan, validate and implement them.

Erasmus+ KA1 CHANGE LIVES, OPEN MINDS Training Programme 2018

The Creative Entrepreneurs Academy at the Centre for Creative Practices is part of a collaboration of three educational organisation that includes alongside us M-Powered from Poland and PlinEu from Poland.  We share one common value in that we believe that education is fundamental to empowering the current and future population of the European Union and to promoting growth, employability, social equity and inclusion.

As such we have come together to offer those working or interested in lifelong learning, continuous development and education a series of courses via the Erasmus+ KA1 programme.

As our common motto we have chosen CHANGE, based on one of the main goals of the Erasmus+ programme – “Change lives, open minds”.

Our educational offer is focused on adult and youth professional and personal development. We offer 13 different 5-day long courses aimed at training the trainers and individuals who are looking to complement their existing skillsets.

Our courses cover Creative Thinking, Diversity and Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, Leadership development and Management.

They will be run in scenic and inspiring locations in a number of countries throughout the European Union over the course of the next 2 ½ years.

Along with the excellent educational offer and state-of-the-art teaching methodologies we include in our programmes outdoor activities allowing our participants to experience the local culture and nature.

We also offer professional support helping our client organisations to prepare and submit their Erasmus Plus KA1 applications.

We encourage you to explore the power of education and personal development, to share good practices among your colleagues and co-workers, and bring back knowledge to your communities, organisations and eco-systems.

We challenge you to inspire and get inspired, to change lives and open minds.

Value Proposition Design

To run any successful business you need a clearly defined VALUE PROPOSITION that explains how your product/service solves your customers’ problem, need or improves their situation. A Value Proposition allows you to define who your customers are and to offer them what they really want. It also helps to secure grant aid or private investment.

Oh it’s so easy to be wise after the event or so they say….. not saying this about Seth but as we see critics, people, workers etc are eager to pick apart complex decisions made by others.

Prime Ministers, CEOs, even football coaches are apparently serially incompetent. If they had only listened to folks who knew precisely what they should have done, they would have been far better off.

Of course, these critics have a great deal of trouble making less-complex decisions in their own lives. They carry the wrong credit cards, buy the wrong stocks, invest in the wrong piece of real estate.

Cancelled

Cancelled

All those meetings you have tomorrow–they were just cancelled. The boss wants you to do something productive instead.

What would you do with the time? What would you initiate?

If it’s better than those meetings were going to be, why not cancel them?

This is not just about the NOW but the FUTURE – it takes time to build relationships but those relationships are only worth building if there is an end result that is more important than doing something else.
